Full disclosure, I have known Anne Linden Steele for many years. Truth is, I have been waiting for her to write a book for at least some of those years. Her insights into human relationships, our relationship to the earth, and our relationship to ourselves are provocative, gentle, important. She drops pebbles into the still or stormy water and some of the ripples meet us immediately, while others come to us over time. Anne's various modes of communication are suited to the observations she is sharing in any given moment. Essay, poem, experiential exercise -- she seeks to communicate with her readers in ways that will be meaningful and useful. Earth as our Ground is both meditation and message. We sit with the author in the field, and we write the book with her; she initiates and we cannot help but to engage.
The book is lovely, inspiring and beautifully written. Anne is amazing!
